Location

Watch Little Penguins dash across the sand at sunset with a visit to the Penguin Parade. The explore the boardwalks after dark to see, smell and hear Little Penguins in the colony returning home to their burrows, greeting neighbours and their chicks. While you’re here, make sure you keep an eye out for other local residents including Swamp Wallabies, Eastern Barred Bandicoots, Cape Barren Geese and Short-tailed Shearwaters.

Every visit to the Penguin Parade protects nature for wildlife. It means the Nature Parks rangers can revegetate and maintain Little Penguin habitat for penguins and visitors to enjoy.

You can choose from two viewing options at the Penguin Parade. Penguins Plus provides a more intimate experience with a smaller capacity and located right beside our main penguin highway from the ocean. General Viewing has excellent views of the Little Penguins waddling up the beach and into the colony.

Great experience with a very good price. Thanks to Experience Oz for discounted prices. I wasn’t expecting hundreds of people in the evening and raining. It’s a must-go place, a bit busy and hard to find a place if you are late...
Nice little walk and a very different experience of seeing penguins very close

Experience Oz's website was very friendly to use, had no hard time looking for what I was looking for which was very good.

We had a great experience with Experience Oz while booking for Phillip Island for the penguin parade. Everything was smooth and when we got there they had no problem looking for our booking and was allowed in a matter of seconds so I highly recommend it!

Cheap, educational and unique activity to do. 100% recommend.

Phillip Island Penguin Parade was an awesome experience that was extra special during the breeding season, listening to the penguins sing their mating songs. Bring a towel or something to sit on to get the best seats in the house on the sand. Arrive early to get a good seat.

The little guys were so cute! Would definitely go again.

We got the general view entry and I think that is enough. If you arrive early and choose the right seats then you will have a good enough view. The walk on the boardwalk is lovely too, you might also spot a couple of penguins on the side of the road.

The cutest little creatures you have ever seen waddle up a beach.

The premier natire experience you can have on Phillip island. Congregate with fellow animal lovers on the stands or beach at Summerlands beach to watch the nightly treak the penguins make from the water up the beach to their nests. This happens as night falls so there are dim lights and boardwalks for your safety. There is also a huge information and education building to learn about the penguins and other wildlife in the area. There is also a cafe/ restaurant and a gift shop with toilets and rest areas. There are facilities for people with disabilities, a roped off area for people with mobility issues, a quiet area for people with sound and crowd issues and a golf cart style taxi for those who can't walk long distances. If you get general tickets, make sure you bring a big jacket to stay warm and a raincoat if it looks like it may rain. In all it's a lovely evening for nature lovers of all ages.

Phillip Island Penguin parade, general admission, plenty of hovering annoying seagulls, and penguins a long way away. bring binoculars.

What a great experience, it’s a pity the penguins are so far away from the viewing stands, however we did see quite a few up close on the boardwalk. It would of been great if we were told before buying food to eat whilst waiting for the penguins, that there are lots of hovering seagulls at the moment. Saw a child have their dinner taken out of their hand. Best off eating the food prior to going out to see the penguins.

Wonderful daytrip to Phillip Island with young kids

We spent morning at A’Maze’n’Things, spent afternoon at Cowes Beach, then headed to Penguin Parade. Mid-November, the penguins came out 8:45pm and we stayed until 10pm. We did it as a day trip, but seems like a lot of accommodation in surrounding areas.

General seating at Penguin Parade was great for young family.

Family of four (2 adults + 2 preschoolers). We got to Penguin Parade complex by 7pm (penguins came out roughly 8:45pm, mid-Nov) so we had ample time to play in interactive area & browse shop before the main event. There was good seating & viewing for general ticket.

Phillip Island Penguin Parade with kids a success!

Brand new spacious modern complex with more interactive areas for kids which was informative and fun. Got to get so close to the penguins. We loved it! Experience Oz also made it more affordable & easy to book. Definitely worth the trip there, especially with little ones.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience of the wonders of nature.

Excellent experience, it was cold and windy when we visited, but if you rug up you will not regret visiting the penguin parade. A must-see for any animal lover while in Phillip Island. Take care to bring a face mask if you are visiting during covid restrictions.
